Sunday Dinner for 2

I strongly believe that new (and old) mummies and daddies should spend quality time with each other. So tonight's dinner is our time away from my mother-in-law and my daughter.

We re-visited one of our favourite restaurant along Military Road, Josephs ov Cremorne. We had their special 3 course menu for $25 tonight.

For entree, I have Prawn Salad (diced mango and cucumber dressed with salsa and topped with prawns) which is very refreshing dish. And my husband has the Veal.

For Main, I have Lamb Fillet (island of mash potato in a sea of sweet mango sauce, topped with red capsicum and fillets of lamb). My husband has the Beef Steak.

And the dinner is concluded with Coffee Creme Brulee with vanilla ice cream, and Lime Sorbet.

Yes, we enjoyed our wonderful dinner and the "time off".

Pigeon - Porridge Cooker

For those who use rice cooker to cook their rice, this is a good gadget for cooking porridge for your little one while cooking your own rice. The whole packaging comprise of a stainless steel can (with measurements at the side, like the rice cooker), a sieve, a measuring spoon, a mini bowl and a plastic grip.
  • Stainless Steel Can - functions like the rice cooker
  • Sieve - for draining the water when washing rice
  • Measuring Spoon - for measuring the amount of rice to put into the can
  • Mini Bowl - for feeding the kid
  • Plastic Grip - for lifting the can out of the rice cooker as it will be very hot

Simply measure the amount of rice to cook for your toddler with the measuring spoon. Wash the rice in the can, then fill up the water according to the indication at the side of the can. Place the can in the middle of the rice cooker, then switch on your rice cooker as per normal.

I think this gadget comes from Japan as the instructions are printed in Japanese. But it is not that difficult to figure out how to use it. Love this gadget as my daughter gets her porridge as we get out rice. Saves me much time.

Lindt Concept Store - Chocolate Cakes

One more Lindt cafe opening in Sydney. With that, there are a total of three within Sydney city-Martin Place, Darling Harbour and Wynyard. The Lindt concept stores, besides selling all kinds of Lindt chocolates, sell a huge variety of food from lovely sandwiches to sinful desserts.

I love their waffle with Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. And that has to go with the hot chocolate. My in-laws bought 2 slices of chocolate cakes for my husband's birthday and my little one has had a few mouthful (what a fortunate girl).
And I promise to take a better picture to do justice to the food the next time.

Junior Fruit Drink

These packet fruit juices for children (age 6 months to 3 years) are pretty niffty for working mum like me who doesn't have the time to juice or cook fruit drinks. Sometimes, I do give my little one freshly juiced apple juice (at the cafe) but I make sure she has her boiled water in between sips.

Teething Feeder

My little one loves to chew since she starts teething. This neat little gadget relieves my worries of her choking. With this, she is happily chewing fruits (like watermelon, lychee, and strawberries) and boiled veggies (like sweet potato and carrot).
This Teething Feeder for baby of 6 months and above. It has a convenient storage cap, a water-filled area inside the handle that keeps fruits chilled, and a childproof twist ring to lock the food in the mesh bag.

Floriade 2007 at Canberra

These beautiful flowers are taken at the Floriade 2007. Floriade is an annual event that only last for a month (mid Sep to mid Oct) at Canberra. Great effort has been put in to plan the layout and plant these flowers for the Spring display.

Mabo Tofu (Ma Po Tofu)

I like simple sauces like this Mabo Tofu Sauce. This brand comes with three level of chilli (hotness). There is another brand that is more Si-chuan style (more chilli taste). This sauce can easily be found at Asian Supermarket.
